How we do it

You practice, we protect

Lyrebird ensures the highest level of security for your data. We ensure real-time transcription with no audio storage, all data is processed and stored locally, protected by 256-bit encryption. Temporary data storage is encrypted and automatically deleted after a short period, guaranteeing strict privacy and compliance.

Real time transcription

While you’re consulting, our locally hosted server transcribes the conversation in real-time. Once completed, the audio is permanently destroyed, ensuring the privacy of both you and your patients.

Local processing

All data processing, including transcription and generation, happens exclusively on local soil. We are the only scribe committed to this level of compliance. Be sure to review the privacy policy of any scribe you choose to ensure your data isn’t being processed overseas.

Bank level encryption

All data in transit and at rest is secured with 256-bit encryption, the same standard used by banks, ensuring maximum privacy and security.

Temporary local storage

We are not an EMR and do not retain long-term data storage. All data is temporarily stored on our local servers in an encrypted format for up to 7 days before being securely and permanently deleted.

No training with your data

We do not use any data to train or improve our AI models. All data remains strictly within the context of each user’s own environment, serving only the immediate needs of the user without contributing to any external training datasets.

Who has access to the consultation information?
Your consultation information is only accessible to you. Lyrebird processes recordings in real time to create clinical notes, with no human intervention in the transcription process. We adhere to the principle of minimal access, ensuring only essential systems have access to perform the necessary tasks. This protects your data while maintaining complete confidentiality.
How long are transcriptions and patient notes stored?
At Lyrebird, no audio recordings from your consultations are stored—ever. Clinical notes generated by the system remain under your control. You decide how long to keep them, and deletion is as simple as a click whenever you choose. By default, they are stored for a period of 7 days before being completely wiped off the server.
How is patient consent managed when using Lyrebird?
