Patient information, such as name and sex from the patients file in Best Practice will automatically populate in Lyrebird, reducing the time to start a consult.

Send notes to patient file – no copy & paste

Once you’ve reviewed the notes generated by Lyrebird, save them directly to the patient’s file with a single click, ensuring they are accurately stored in the correct record. No more copy & paste.

Automatic observation detection

Any observations you verbalise or type during the consult are automatically detected by Lyrebird. When saving to Best Practice, these observations are directly entered into the patient’s observations table, ensuring accurate and seamless record-keeping.

Document generation

Use Lyrebird to effortlessly generate referral letters, medical certificates, care plans, or any other documents you need. It leverages the context from the consult along with any notes you’ve added to craft accurate and comprehensive documents.

For mental health consults, Lyrebird sends a digital DASS-21 to the patient’s phone, auto-calculates results, and generates a Medicare-compliant care plan—both saved as PDFs in Best Practice.

Improved note quality

Currently, Lyrebird treats each consult as a standalone interaction. Soon, we’ll enhance this by using past patient history for deeper context, resulting in even more accurate and detailed notes.

Pre-consult forms

Save time by sending patients a form beforehand to gather details on their issue, family history, and medications. Responses will be pre-filled in Lyrebird, ready for you to review before the consult.

Yes, the integration works seamlessly with a remote server setup. However, you’ll need to ask your IT team to enable your remote server to access your local microphone, so Lyrebird can listen as you speak with your patient!
