Transcribes
AI converts spoken words into text in real-time, without storing any audio data. By the time the consult has finished, all audio data has been completely destroyed.
Clinical note
At the end of the consult, Lyrebird will generate a clinical note based on the conversation and any notes you’ve entered to provide additional context. This takes less than 20 seconds.

Yes, consent is required. Australian laws and medical defence organisations (MDOs) often require patient consent to use an AI scribe. We recommend informing patients verbally at the beginning of the consultation, or using a patient enrolment form for written consent. You can download our consent bundle here.
Is Lyrebird compliant with Australian healthcare regulations?
Yes, Lyrebird is fully compliant. We meet all relevant Australian privacy and healthcare regulations, including requirements set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). We regularly review our compliance to stay up to date with evolving standards.
